The sun setting over the North Sea
I landed in Copenhagen rather early in the morning and transferred
directly from the airport to the docks, where our ship, the Eurodam,
was moored. I spent the morning waiting to board, and the better
part of the afternoon acclimating myself aboard what is certainly
the largest cruise ship I have encountered. I have mixed feelings
about sailing on a ship of such cumbersome size; there are too
many people aboard, and throughout the journey, this made me
feel a bit lost and overwhelmed. In contrast, the ports of call
were often small and intimate, and I felt quite at home while
on land.

The next morning, we entered the Oslo fjord, landing
around noon. Here is the ship, moored quayside in the Oslo harbour.
